It's my favorite time of year. 

The transition from Autumn to Winter is wonderful, every day.

 The cold weather; Fall decorations switching to Christmas lights and kitsch; holiday music, flavors, and smells; snow; shopping for gifts.

And of course, ski season.

Today I went to Crystal Mountain.  While there wasn't too much terrain open, it was a gorgeous start to the season. Not many people were at the resort, and at times it felt like I had my own private section of the mountain. It was perfect.

 From the top of Crystal, the view was full of mountains and volcanoes, from Mt Olympus, to Mt Adams, to Mt Baker.

The view of Mt Rainier was incredible.

My heart exploded.

Ahh, I love it. 

So tonight I'm enjoying a fire, Christmas movies, hanging out with a black jungle cat, and putting up decorations, before I work a couple days in a row.
