Rocky Mountain National Park

Monday started off as a day for Winter Park, but when we arrived we found that it had closed for the season. In a scramble to make the most of the day, we stopped in the visitors center for suggestions.  The lady working recommended we drive through the mountains to Rocky Mountain National Park and see the beautiful sights and changing Aspens.

It was a beautiful drive through small mountain towns into the National Park. We felt that it was far better than what we originally planned.

We found a place to go hike around and climb some rocks. Ashley did great above 12,000 feet.

Planking and standing on a marker at 12,480 ft.

The drive through the park was beautiful and full of wildlife.

We drove to Estes Park then to Boulder for dinner. Boulder is full of hippies, bicyclists, good food, and street performers. We saw a variety of homeless people, college students, and want-a-be's singing and playing the banjo, ukulele, and guitar.

By the time we got home we were beat, but so glad that we got to see such beautiful sights and enjoy being with each other again.
