Yosemite x 2

Saturday in Yosemite was even more beautiful.

Without prior made plans of how to spend the day, Ashley pointed to an area on the map and said, "Let's just go here"  Then we drove to Hetch Hetchy.

It's a resevoir with lots of hiking trails and waterfalls.

We enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful views while on a 2.5 mile hike to a big waterfall.

Being the 5 year old that I can sometimes be, I picked up a pine cone and said to Tanya, "watch this". I proceeded to throw the pine cone toward the backside of the unsuspecting Ashley Marie. The sound of the rock-hard pine cone colliding with her skull confirmed to everyone just how off my aim was.

A goose egg formed almost immediately on the back of her head...

Luckily she was laughing about it.. and not throwing rocks at me. Which would have been the appropriate response.

This trip was so much fun.  Yosemite is incredible.

We drove home, stopped at Sonic for dinner, which was the best idea considering we could eat outside.  With the state we were in post camping and hiking, I'm not sure a restaurant would have seated us. Then we went to sleep to reboot for the next day of adventures.
