storm clouds and folksy music

Saturday I went a few miles down the street to Upper Los Virgenes Open Space, a huge preserve with rolling mountains and with hiking trails. There were a lot of people out mountain biking, hiking, and riding horses.

It was pretty cloudy with a cool breeze.  Every once in awhile spots of blue sky would appear behind the approaching storm.

Lots of tumbleweed.

That is a coyote I saw high up on a mountain.  Just watchin' us all walk by...

In the evening I went into Los Angeles near Koreatown for a concert at The Wiltern Theater.

The theater is an elaborately decorated old building. Art Deco style.

The first band that played was Milo Greene.  They are originally from L.A. and the crowd was full of their family and friends.  It was a really cool vibe and the everyone was going crazy.

The next band was The Civil Wars.  Their album is great, but live they are incredible! Their voices go so perfectly together.  Every song gave me chills. It was so beautiful.

I worked today. I lost my pens and questioned whether or not people stole them from me.

When I got home...I found them in my hair..

Tomorrow night my sister Erin is flying in for a visit.
