And I have been, because I've picked up a lot of overtime. This is all in preparation for the time after this assignment. Early January, I'll pack up my car once more in preparation for a long drive and another move. This time will be across the country toward my heartland of Pennsylvania. My mom is going to join me, just like she did when I first left PA a little over a year ago :)
January and February promise to be the hardest months of my life so far. It would seem the only thing I'll be able to do with the beginning of the year is ski and spend it with family. Officially there are two big ski trips planned, but if I must, I will go on many more. It's just something I've got to work through.
If I can get my mind set back on the professional track after a few months of skiing and leisurely activity, I will attempt to get a staff position in Pittsburgh. Although I love critical care and the challenges and excitement, I'm ready to switch it up. I'm thinking mom/baby, or something. We'll see..
Lastly, I'm excited to say that Ashley and I will once again be living together, this time in Pittsburgh (pending I get a job). We're both really looking forward to hanging up our traveling stethoscopes and looking for semi-permanent jobs near family.
Thursday we had Thanksgiving together with a coworker of Matt's and his family. The forecast for Friday was rain rain rain, so we headed to the beach.
Ocean Shores is a really cool area with big wide beaches that you can drive on! I had so much fun driving my little red Sentra on that beach.
We had great seafood for lunch, drove along the gray pacific, and then got back to Olympia for some Black Friday shopping.
Last Thanksgiving I was in LA, and my sister Erin came out to visit.
This Thanksgiving I spent with Matt & Cyndi in the Pacific Northwest.
Who and where and what will next Thanksgiving bring??
I don't know, but I can't wait to find out :)
