One day we ventured into the city to join our friend Tanya for some touristy activities in the sunshine.
starting with shopping at some street vendors and our first trolley ride.
This guy was our trolley driver -
We got the car all to ourselves bc it was his last run and we were going the same direction he was. Instead of just ringing the bell, he would jam out on it, which was kind of cool. Then he let us off without paying for the ride, which was even cooler.
We met up with Arielle and Leslie, then went to lunch in Little Italy.
We spent the evening shopping for things and spending money not on needs, but wants, well at least I did.
Sunday was mother's day. After church, we met up in a cute little town, Tiburon, for brunch on the bay.
It was overcast and chilly, but we had good food and laughter to keep us warm :)
After a quick tiger snooze Monday, I was picked up by Ashley and her mom for a day touring wine country in a convertible, of course. Tanya joined us and we headed for the Pacific Coast Highway.
The majority of the PCH in this part is forest and farmlands - so beautiful
wind blown and smiling wide, we arrived at Korbel Champagne Cellars, where Leah joined us for lunch, wine tasting, and a tour.
Probably one of my favorites thus far. I'm a champagne girl :)
Next up was a small family owned winery, Arista Winery, specializing in pinots. Not my favorite kind of wines, but a beautiful place nonetheless.
We then drove the whole way, more like flew the whole way, down to the city to return the car, and have dinner at the fisherman's wharf.
We had a great visit with Lorraine :)
The next day I went for a hike with a friend, then headed into work for the evening.
The next installment with be my adventures visiting the East coast.. stay tuned for laughter and tears.
Thanks for catching us up! : )
